Discovering Korean BBQ: A Food Adventure I Can’t Stop Thinking About

I finally experienced a real Korean BBQ in person. I went to the place about 2 months ago and I have been three times now. I have even made my own at home. Let me tell you about this experience-it completely blew me away. From the sizzling grill at the table to the endless sides and flavors, it was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. One meal in and I can already say…I’m officially obsessed! In this post, I’m sharing my first impressions, what I ordered, and why Korean BBQ instantly became one of my favorite dining experiences.

“Hot pot, marinated shrimp, marinated salmon, kimchi, lettuce leaves, rice, squid, mini octopus, seaweed salad, cheesy corn, tteokbokki”

I do not eat meat other than seafood, so we separated the grill for myself and my sisters. This restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat experience, which is worth it. The price is $19.99 per person for lunch and $29.99 per person for dinner. While this may sound expensive, it is reasonable if you go with a group and split the check. We enjoyed soju and cocktails, which are additional costs, along with free water. The hotpot is an extra $5 per person, and everyone must either choose it or agree not to. Their policy states that if one person wants it, everyone is still charged for it, so you must either agree to all get it or agree not to. I am not a fan of this policy, as some may want the hotpot while others may not. If you opt for the hotpot, you can place a variety of hotpot ingredients on the grill.

After experiencing a Korean BBQ, I decided to recreate it at home. It was more affordable, enjoyable, and a great experience overall. I visited my local Asian market and purchased a variety of ingredients for both the BBQ and the hotpot. We also made margaritas to enjoy alongside the meal.
